PRIVACY POLICY

Your media stays yours.

Effective October 26, 2026

Social Media Hook Finder (“the app”) is published by Aakash Balachandran, trading as agentP (“we”). This policy explains what the app accesses on your device and what happens to that information. In short: the app works entirely on your device, and we do not collect, receive, sell, or share your photos, videos, or personal data.

What the app accesses

Selected media. When you tap “Choose older photos or videos,” the iOS system picker shares only the items you select. Full-library access is not needed for this.

Your photo library. The optional “Scan yesterday” and “Daily scan” features ask for Photos access so the app can find media created during the previous day. You can grant limited or full access, or change it at any time in iPhone Settings.

Notifications. If you turn on the daily scan, the app asks to send local notifications that tell you when a promising item is ready to review. Notifications are generated on the device; no push service is used.

How media is analyzed

Ranking happens entirely on your device. For a photo, the app creates one small temporary sample; for a video, up to three small temporary frames. It measures visual signals such as exposure, contrast, sharpness, color, and frame-to-frame change, and combines them with metadata such as duration, dimensions, creation time, and favorite status. Temporary samples are deleted after analysis. Audio is not inspected. Background daily checks use only metadata.

The app does not upload your photos, videos, samples, metadata, or results to us or to anyone else. A Hook Score is creative guidance, not a prediction of audience performance.

What is stored on your device

The app stores saved-pick references (pointers to items in your library, plus their score and suggestions), the most recent daily-scan results, whether the daily scan is turned on, and the date of the last daily alert. This data stays on your device. You can clear saved picks in the app’s Settings, and deleting the app removes all of its data.

What we do not do

The app has no user accounts and no sign-in. It contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs, and it does not track you across apps or websites. We do not sell personal data or use your media to train AI models. Media is never posted or shared automatically; the system share sheet opens only when you tap Share.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and because it does not collect personal data, we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Future changes

If a future version adds any feature that sends data off your device—such as optional cloud analysis—it will ask for your permission first, and we will update this policy before that version is released. The effective date above shows when this policy last changed.
