PRIVACY POLICY
Your media stays yours.
Effective October 26, 2026
Social Media Hook Finder (“the app”) is published by Aakash Balachandran, trading as agentP (“we”). This policy explains what the app accesses on your device and what happens to that information. In short: the app works entirely on your device, and we do not collect, receive, sell, or share your videos or personal data.
What the app accesses
Selected videos. When you tap “Choose older videos,” the iOS system picker shares only the clips you select. Full-library access is not needed for this.
Your photo library. The optional “Scan yesterday” and “Daily scan” features ask for Photos access so the app can find the videos you took during the previous day. You can grant limited or full access, or change it at any time in iPhone Settings.
Notifications. If you turn on the daily scan, the app asks to send local notifications reminding you to review yesterday’s longest video. Notifications are generated on the device; no push service is used.
How videos are analyzed
All analysis happens on your iPhone. The app reads two frames per second from each video and uses Apple’s Vision framework to detect faces, people, and pets (without identifying who anyone is), sudden movement, and how good each shot looks. Apple’s on-device sound classifier listens for moments such as laughter, cheering, impacts, or speech. On iOS 26 or later, speech is transcribed on the device so a spoken line can be shown as a suggested hook; the device may download Apple’s speech model for your language the first time. Frames, audio, and full transcripts are kept in memory only while a video is analyzed. The result, including a short quote when one is found, is kept on your device if you save the pick. Background daily checks use only metadata such as video length and creation time.
Apple Intelligence. On iPhones that support it and have it turned on, the app uses Apple’s on-device Foundation Models framework to name the moment and write a suggested opening line and caption from the analysis results and, on iOS 27, the video frames around the hook. This processing runs entirely on your device; the app does not use Apple’s Private Cloud Compute or any other server.
The app does not upload your videos, frames, audio, transcripts, metadata, or results to us or to anyone else. A Hook Score is creative guidance, not a prediction of audience performance.
What is stored on your device
The app stores saved-pick references (pointers to videos in your library, plus their score, hook time, moment name, any short quote, and suggestions), the most recent daily-scan results, whether the daily scan is turned on, and the date of the last daily alert. This data stays on your device. You can clear saved picks in the app’s Settings, and deleting the app removes all of its data.
What we do not do
The app has no user accounts and no sign-in. It contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs, and it does not track you across apps or websites. We do not sell personal data or use your media to train AI models. Media is never posted or shared automatically; the system share sheet opens only when you tap Share.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and because it does not collect personal data, we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Future changes
If a future version adds any feature that sends data off your device—such as optional cloud analysis—it will ask for your permission first, and we will update this policy before that version is released. The effective date above shows when this policy last changed.
